VENSYS ELEKTROTECHNIK SUPPORTS THE WAVE-TROPHY RALLY

"Thank you Diepholz! That was a great reception! We felt completely at home with you." - the rally drivers of the WAVE, the largest e-mobility rally in the world, were visibly thrilled with their stopover in Diepholz last Saturday.

In bright sunshine, more than 30 e-cars gradually rolled into Diepholz to present their vehicles to the numerous visitors at Bremer Eck during a short break. Louis Palmer, initiator of the WAVE, interviewed the arriving drivers, who proudly presented their vehicles.

Each electric vehicle was fascinating in its own way: from the sporty Tesla to the almost silent electric motorcycle to the converted classic car, visitors were presented with a wide range of different electric vehicles. A real highlight was the car of Julius Wächter from Stemwede. The Buick Roadmaster from 1953 equipped with an electric motor attracted a lot of attention. But also the Tesla Model S with self-driving function, which was controlled by driver Max Stauß with his smartphone to prove its functionality, amazed the visitors. Jutta Kleinschmidt in her BMW i3 also caused a stir. As the first and so far only winner of what is probably the world's most famous rally, the Dakar Rally, she is probably the most prominent e-mobility rally driver this year and was also a guest in Diepholz.

The organizers of the stopover event, Stadtwerke Huntetal and VENSYS Elektrotechnik, were delighted with the positive response to the joint event. "We are overwhelmed by the huge interest that visitors have shown in e-mobility," summarized Stadtwerke boss Waldemar Opalla. "We had many good discussions ourselves, and the drivers also reported back to us that they rarely had to answer as many questions as they did here with us. All in all, this was an all-around successful event for everyone involved, which encourages us to continue pushing the issue of e-mobility in the region. " VENS YS Managing Director Urban Schippmann adds: "The WAVE is an extraordinary event. It proves that e-mobility already works today and that citizens in the region are increasingly interested in it. The step towards the future has been taken - sustainable future technologies from energy generation to passenger transportation. We continue to do our best to further develop our technologies, involve our citizens and thus strengthen our region."
